Additionally, she holds the national records for the 60m and the 4x100m relay.

Maria Isabel Perez was born on March 1, 1993, in Seville, Spain. She began her athletic career early and demonstrated exceptional abilities in sprinting. In 2010, she secured the title of national junior champion in the 60m event and earned a bronze medal at the Xativa Spanish Junior Championships in 2011. At that time, she was regarded as one of the most promising talents in Spanish athletics.

At the Apeldoorn European Athletics Indoor Championships she finished 2nd in the 60m heats, but in the semi-finals was only 4th and missed to qualify for the final.
