Karyna Vehner is Ukrainian track and field athlete, who competes in the pole vault, long jump and triple jump. she won the pole vault at GAC Championships and one of the biggest athletics talents in the events. She is Ukrainian Championships pole vault bronze medalist bronze medalist in 2023.
Karyna Vehner was born on December 2, 2001. She started in athletics at an early age and showed her skills and talent.
Karyna Vehner started her competitive career in 2018 to win the pole vault silver at the Kiev Christmas Starts Meet and the bronze at the Lutsk Ukrainian Club U20 Championships. During the season she debuted at the Lutsk Ukrainian Championships, but failed to record successful attempt.
In 2019, Karyna Vehner won the pole vault silver at the Sumy Regional Indoor Championships, improving her personal best to 3.40m, and Sumy Ukrainian Indoor Club Championships. She finished 6th at the Sumy Ukrainian Indoor Championships and 4th at the Ukrainian U20 Indoor Championships.
Karyna Vehner started competing in the triple jump in 2020. She finished 12th at the Sumy Ukrainian Championships ith 11.41m. Meanwhile, simultaneously she competed in the pole vault but again missed the honors at the Sumy Ukrainian U20 Indoor Championships and Ukrainian Indoor Club Championships, finishing 4th and 5th, respectively.
In 2021, Karyna Vehner also started competing in the long jump. She competed at the Ukrainian Indoor Club Championships and Sumy Ukrainian Indoor Championships, but did not recorded a significant result and was far from the podium. In the pole vault, however, she competed only at the local Ivano-Frankivsk Summer Universiade, finishing 5th.
In 2022, Karyna Vehner won the gold at the Kyiv Regional Indoor Championships, improving her personal best in the pole vault to 3.50m.
Karyna Vehner attended to Harding University in 2023 to study kinesiology and started competing for the local athletics team. She finished 4th in the triple jump and 10th in the pole vault at the Ole Miss Classic, improving her personal best to 3.63m. In the triple jump she also finished 8th in the John McDonnell Invitational and 15th at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships. During the summer holiday, Karyna Vehner returned to Ukraine and won her first national honor, winning the pole vault bronze at the Lutsk Ukrainian Championships and Ivano-Frankivsk Ukrainian U23 Championships.
In 2024, Karyna Vehner competed in pole vault and the triple jump. In the pole vault she finished 14th at the Arkansas Invitational, 17th at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational and 12th in the Ole Miss Classic, clearing season’s best of 3.62m, as well as 11th at the Crimson and Gold Invitational. In the triple jump, she was 9th at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational, 4th at the Ole Miss Classic, 5th at the Lee Last Chance, and 6th at the Bobcat Invitational, jumping a personal best of 12.29m. She also competed at the Lviv Ukrainian Championships, but missed the podium with modest result of 3.30m.
In 2025, Karyna Vehner improved her personal best in the pole vault to 3.76m at the Alex Wilson in Notre Dame, Indiana, winning the silver. She also cleared 3.72m at the Ole Miss Classic, but finished only 7th. At the Pittsburg State Invitational, she finished 5th in the pole vault with 3.68m, while at the Rumble in the Jungle Invitational remained 7th with 3.62m. In the triple jump, Karyna Vehner finished 6th at the Pittsburg State Invitational and 17th at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
